AMD, geçtiğimiz günlerde sessiz sedasız iki yeni işlemcisini kullanıcılarına sundu.Günümüzde artık fazla ilgi görmeyen ve yerini yeni nesil işlemcilere bırakan çift çekirdekli işlemciler, bugün için kullanıcılar tarafından pek bir ilgi görmüyor olsa da, AMD geçtiğimiz günlerde bir sürpriz yaparak iki yeni çift çekirdekli işlemcisini işlemci pazarına sundu.
Çift çekirdekli olmasından dolayı kamuoyuna ayrıca resmi bir açıklama yapmaya gerek görmeyen AMD'nin Athlon X2 ürün ailesinin bir parçası olan bu iki yeni işlemcisi, sadece OEM'leri temin edilebilen 7750 ve 7550 isimlerini taşıyor. Eski 65nm (K8) Brisbane çekirdeği yerine K10 ya da Stars mimarisi üzerine kurulu bulunan Kuma çekirdeğini kullanan yeni AMD'ler, DDR2-1066 hafıza modellerini de destekliyor.
Athlon X2 6000 ile fiyatları hemen hemen aynı olan yeni AMD işlemcisi Athlon X2 7750'nin fiyat etikesi 79 Dolar olarak belirlenmiş durumda.
